Yes, it’s a glorified kids movie, but this kids movie could be the best film released of ‘09 and at the very least it’s in the top 5. In short it’s got everything you want: great music, great cast, a very unique look, Wes Anderson’s trade mark quirkiness without the pretentiousness, consistently laugh out loud funny scenes, perfect length at an hour and a half and an overall great time which is so rare in movies now. You could go see Precious, the movie everyone is talking about, ball your eyes out and be depressed for the rest of the night or you could go see Fantastic Mr. Fox and walk out grinning ear to ear and feel like a million bucks. Its really that easy…
