My Bobby Brown Tribute Band in ’91 performing “On Our Own”
ShareWhen I was 9 years old, my friends and I started a Bobby Bown tribute band (not a cover band). There was already a few cover bands that were hitting it big at the time, including ‘It’s Our Perogative’ and ‘Every Little Step We Take’. It was around the time that Ghostbusters 2 came out when jim, mike, ralphy, izzy and I got together in the studio to lay down our first track, “On Our Own.” We called ourselves Humpin Around. Unfortunately happy meals, kick ball and detention led to our demise, but for that one moment in time, we recorded perfection.
The original video is arguably the greatest (Bobby Brown Ghostbusters soundtrack) video of all time. It features tremendous cameos by an uber 80s Donald Trump and Christopher Reeves.
