Every Friday the Fro will dish out a few items on the ol’ TV Guide that should be avoided at all costs. I don’t if your girl has her ‘friend’ and she’s threatening your life. With plenty of good football games on, here’s a few things to avoid . . .
Movies:
Leap Year - Staring Amy Adams and Mathew Goode, John Lithgow. Amy Adams plays an uptight, pain in the ass ginger who travels to Dublin to propose to her boyfriend on leap day, Feb. 29, following an Irish tradition in which women propose to men on that day and the man has to say yes (wwhhhaaa???). When weather derails her trip, she enlists the help of a surly Irish innkeeper to make an unexpected cross-country trek to pull off the perfect proposal in time and subsequently depict women as desperate morons who will stop at nothing to get married…. its basically just another tuesday.
TV Movies:
9:00pm - 11:00pm, LIFE (252)
Fatal Desire - “Anne Heche and Eric Roberts are convincing in this so-so thriller about an Internet romance that begins hot and heavy but ends tragically.” It’s on Lifetime and it’s starring Anne Heche so unless you are bi-curious yourself you clearly have zero on the interest level scale but when it’s own station describes the movie as “so-so” its like saying “hey, does this smell bad to you?”
TV:
1:00am - 2:00am, LOGO (272)
Laughing Matters - “Check out this behind the scenes look at some of America’s funniest gay comedy veterans featuring stand-up comedy performances and interviews with Alec Mapa, Scott Kennedy, Bruce Vilanch, Andre Kelley, Bob Smith and Eddie Sarfaty in Laughing Matters: Gay Comedy in America.” First off, none of these comedians are funny. Secondly, if you wish to subject yourself to a night of comedians telling heartbreaking stories about how hard it is to be a gay in one of the most liberal and free forms of entertainment or hear jokes about water soluble lube and interior decorating then I have a cigarette for your eye.
